Augusta University threw a big party to celebrate the launch of Esports. The expectation was roughly 100 students but the place was packed with almost 400 people. The message? Videogames and Esports are here to stay at Augusta University. The team itself is doing great. There's a new arena and the team recently won their league for Rocket League. The administration at Augusta University has made it a point to celebrate Esports as it expands. Animation students love this stuff and we want to celebrate it however we can. My students were heavily involved in the kickoff, from cosplaying to making a Motion Graphic video to celebrate the launch. I had the privilege of being one of the featured speakers (you can find me at the end of the video).
